Despammed acts as an alias that stands between spammers and your true email inbox. Though Despammed can serve as a simple Web-based email service, it is primarily designed to act as a filter and forward tool. What this means is that when you register with Despammed, you create a new email address which you should then use "in public" where you are most vulnerable to UCE email collection techniques. Any email sent to your Despammed alias comes to the Despammed mail server first where it is sent through the Despammed ringer. If it survives, it is forwarded on to your real email inbox.
